Avengers: Endgame

The Final Battle Scene was almost perfection.

My only issue is that I was hoping for it to be another 5 to 10 minutes longer. I wanted more scenes from each superheroes. I mean the movie franchise was built from decades worth of comic book stories and ideas from geniuses. 2008 was the launch of the first movie and 11 years later, we finally received the accumulation of this built up. I had goosebumps several times throughout the movie and honestly speaking, 3 hours is not enough. I really felt that the movie should have been extended for another half an hour at least, to give more time to some of the characters. I mean, I get it that at the end of the day, this movie is about coming full circle for the 6 original Avengers but I still feel that there were some moments that they could make the other characters shine and mark their standing in the movie. At times, it does feel a tad rushed but I was cool with it.

The final battle scene immediately started after the 6 infinity stones were assemble together from different times and Hulk was the one to do the snap to bring everyone back.

The moment that Captain America, Iron Man and Thor came out from the destroyed Avengers building, to face Thanos - gave me goosebumps. The big 3 throughout the Marvel history came together to hold their own against the villain was so good. Even though the writers weakened Thor quite a bit, which was slightly disappointing but at least you get to see him fighting with 2 hammers. Then you could see that Thanos was winning, plummeting the 3 heroes easily, with Iron Man getting hit and knockout by Thor's Mjolnir, followed by Thor almost getting killed by his own Stormbreaker. Then another goosebumps moment came with Captain America being worthy to carry the Mjolnir and fought back against Thor. That was a fucking excellent moment. Until Thanos managed to overpower him.

There was this silent moment in the movie that you could feel the anticipation of something epic happening when even after being knock down, Captain America got up to face Thanos and this time, along with his Black Order and all of his soldiers. That was a beautiful moment/feeling for me. You could see his sense of desperation and need to avenge for his fallen team members written all over his face.

And you see a portal behind Captain America opening up, followed by Black Panther, Shuri and Okoye being the first one to come out of it. That was pure orgasm. Within minutes, all the superheroes and soldiers that were snapped to dust in Infinity War came out of several portals through out the scene. I wanted to scream for joy and orgasm. It was a glorious moment to see all these superheroes coming out to back the leader of the Avengers. It was a few minutes of goosebumps orgasm.

To me, the most perfect moment in the entire movie was when all of them came up behind him, most of the alive superheroes in that scene standing behind him, ready to give their all for the fight of their life. Then you see Captain America shouting out 'Avengers', summoning Mjolnir and saying with confidence, 'Assemble'. That was the most fucking perfect moment ever. Everything that I have ever read in the comics was physically translated onto that scene. All of them running towards the enemy was everything to me.

I mean they did focused on all the superheroes in action but it was just bits and pieces that left me craving for more.

Throughout the battle scene, they were playing with passing the Infinity Gauntlet around trying to get it to the Quantum Tunnel in Ant-man's ugly brown van was a surprisingly entertaining and enjoyable scene. Hawkeye holding on to it, passing to Black Panther, before passing it to Spider-Man - Spider-Man being rescued by Mjolnir, then Rescue, Pepper Potts in her own Iron-Man suit, and riding on Pegasus with Valkyrie, and finally giving it to Captain Marvel. The scene that he got bombarded by several blasts all around him while hugging tightly to the Infinity Gauntlet before waking up in a daze was adorable.

In between seeing the fight between Scarlet Witch and Thanos, she could have easily killed him if she had better control and understanding of her power. Undoubtedly, Scarlet Witch is the strongest Avenger given more time and more training, I honestly think that she could easily telekinetically hold all the Avengers in mid-air.

It just irks me that in between all these mess, I did not get to see The Black Order exerting their dominance throughout the fight. They are technically the best fighters in the universe and that is why Thanos choose them to be his generals but it was swept under all the craziness. Black Dwarf was killed by having Ant-Man turning into a 60-foot giant and stepping on him. I have no idea what happened to Proxima Midnight. Corvus Glaive was stabbed in the chest by Okoye. Ebony Maw turned to dust after the snap.

Anyway, there was another awesome scene where Captain Marvel had gotten hold of the Infinity Gauntlet from Spider-Man, all the ladies came together to back her up. And all of them look gorgeous and I realized that they could easily hold their own against the men and might even win against the male members of the Avengers if it comes down to it.

Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, Valkyrie, Okoye, Shuri, Mantis, The Wasp, Gamora, Nebula & Rescue standing together. I mean even though the fight was only a couple of minutes but it was still a gorgeous scene.

Every battle scene in any action-packed movie would always have that one scene where it looks as if the bad guy is going to win but they are not going to, just to play with the emotions of the audience. This was it. The scene where Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Thor and Captain America, individually fought Thanos as he tried to grab hold of the Infinity Gauntlet. And this time round, they showed that Captain Marvel was slightly much stronger than Thanos, almost winning the fight.

And the scene where Tony managed to steal the Infinity Stones and fixed it to his own suit and snap his fingers. The most heartbreaking scene ever.

I don't think anybody saw it coming. I mean rumors were circulated that Captain America was the one that is going to die while Iron Man was going to retire, not the other way round.

11 years in the making and it was totally worth the wait.

I'm scared for the future of MCU. I have no idea how they are going to do better that this movie for the next Avengers' movie but I'm looking forward to it though.

Confirmed

Changed my mind at the last minute and bought the tickets to London only. Somehow I managed to convinced myself that I need my holidays to be chill and laidback. I have no idea why did I decide to visit 2 or more countries in the first place. When I went to Paris last year, I woke up around 9am or 10am and took my own sweet time to get ready. I wasn't rushing to anything. I do have a planned itinerary but nothing was usually planned in the morning. I had freaking 8 hours of sleep every night. I took my time to figure out what to wear, took OOTD, pack my bag for the day and had brunch every day. It was chilled. That's what I need my holidays to be. That's one of the main reasons why I prefer to go on solo trips.

So I have bought my flight tickets to London and my Harry Potter play tickets.
